Referral links (also called affiliate links) give each partner a unique URL they can share with their network. When a visitor clicks a partner’s referral link and later submits a lead form on your website, Kiflo automatically attributes that lead to the correct partner — no manual matching required. The system works just like a traditional affiliate platform, but built directly into your PRM.

How tracking works

When a visitor lands on your website via a partner’s referral link, Kiflo sets a first-party cookie in the visitor’s browser. That cookie stores the partner’s referral code and persists across sessions. When the visitor submits a lead form connected to Kiflo, the referral code is read from the cookie and the lead is automatically associated with the referring partner.
Because Kiflo uses first-party cookies (set on your own domain), tracking is more reliable than third-party cookie-based solutions and aligns with modern browser privacy defaults.

Step 1: Install the Kiflo tracking snippet

Before referral links can track any visitors, you must install the Kiflo JavaScript snippet on your website. The snippet handles cookie management and the communication between your website and your Kiflo account. It works similarly to a Google Analytics tag. Follow the installation guide in the Kiflo JS SDK documentation to add the snippet to every page of your site. You can create referral links at two levels: for all partners in a program at once, or for a single partner individually.
1

Open the program

Go to Programs and select the program you want to create links for.
2

Add a link

Click the Links tab, then click Add link.
3

Name and target the link

Enter a Name — this is the label partners will see in their portal — and a Target URL — the page on your site visitors will land on after clicking.
4

Save

Click Add. Kiflo immediately generates a unique referral link for every partner currently in the program.
To see every link across all your partners in one place:
  1. Go to the Partners page.
  2. Click the Links tab.
Each row shows the link name, the partner it belongs to, and performance metrics including unique visitors, leads, customers, transactions, and revenue.

Change a partner’s referral code

Kiflo auto-generates a referral code for every partner when they are created. You can change this code if, for example, a partner is renamed or you want to align the code with an existing tracking identifier in Google Analytics.
1

Open the partner

Go to Partners and open the relevant partner’s profile.
2

Go to Links

Click the Links tab.
3

Update the code

Click Update referral code, enter the new code, and click Update.
Changing a referral code immediately deactivates all existing referral links for that partner. Any links the partner has already shared will stop working and visitors arriving via those old links will not be tracked. Only change referral codes for partners who have not yet shared their links.

Standalone lead form

In addition to tracked website forms, every partner team member has access to a standalone lead form — a unique, bookmarkable URL they can use to submit leads without logging in to the partner portal. Partners can find their own standalone lead form URL by going to Account Settings → Forms inside the partner portal. As an admin, you can retrieve a team member’s URL directly:
1

Open the partner

Navigate to the partner’s profile in the admin portal.
2

Go to the Team tab

Click the Team tab to see all team members.
3

Copy the URL

Click the team member’s name, then click Get personal lead form URL.
The standalone form does not require sign-in. The partner team member fills in the lead details, clicks Next, completes the contact information, and clicks Submit.
Share the standalone lead form URL with partners who prefer not to log in to the portal regularly. It is a fast, frictionless way for them to submit leads on the go.
