# Configure and Preview Your Partner Portal Dashboards

> Build widget-based dashboards that partners see on login, assign them to program tiers, and preview them as a specific partner to verify the experience.

The partner dashboard is the first screen your partners see when they log into the portal. It is composed of widgets — small panels that surface key information like recent leads, registered deals, referral links, reward summaries, and more. Because different partner types have different needs, Kiflo lets you create multiple dashboards and assign each one to the right program tier.

## Navigate to Partner Dashboards

Before editing or creating dashboards, open the Partner Dashboards page:

* Click **Manage** from the main menu
* Select **Partner Dashboards**

## Edit the Default Dashboard

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Default Dashboard">
    On the Partner Dashboards page, locate the dashboard tagged **default**. Every partner portal has one default dashboard — it is shown to any partner whose program tier does not have a custom dashboard assigned. Click the default dashboard to open it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Remove Widgets You Don't Need">
    Hover your cursor over any widget you want to remove. A **remove** option appears on the widget. Click it to remove the widget from the dashboard layout.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add New Widgets">
    Click **Add widget** to open the widget library. Browse the available widgets and click **Add to dashboard** on any widget you want to include. The widget is added to the bottom of the dashboard.

    <Tip>
      For referral partners, consider adding a **Latest submitted leads** widget. For resellers, a **Latest registered deals** widget is more relevant. For affiliate partners, the **Referral links** widget is essential.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Rearrange Widgets">
    Drag and drop widgets to reorder them in the layout. Arrange the most important information at the top so partners see it immediately on login.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the Dashboard">
    Once you are satisfied with the layout, click **Save** to apply your changes.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Create a New Dashboard

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click New Dashboard">
    On the Partner Dashboards page, click **New dashboard**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name Your Dashboard">
    Enter a clear name for the dashboard — for example, "Reseller Dashboard" or "Affiliate Dashboard". Click **Add**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Customize the Layout">
    Add, remove, and rearrange widgets the same way you would for the default dashboard. Tailor the widget selection to the partner type that will see this dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the Dashboard">
    Click **Save** when the layout is ready.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Associate with Program Tiers">
    To show this dashboard to partners in a specific program tier rather than the default:

    * Click **Associations** in the left panel of the dashboard editor
    * Select the partner program tiers that should see this dashboard
    * Click **Save**

    <Note>
      If no custom dashboard is associated with a partner's program tier, Kiflo automatically falls back to the default dashboard. You only need to create custom dashboards for program tiers that need a different experience.
    </Note>
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Preview the Dashboard as a Partner

After making changes, verify what a specific partner will actually see:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click Preview Data As">
    On the dashboard editor page, click the **Preview data as** button.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select a Partner">
    Search for and select the partner you want to preview data for. The dashboard refreshes to show exactly what that partner sees — including their own real data — so you can confirm the layout and widget content look correct.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Use the preview feature after every dashboard update, especially when you have assigned the same dashboard to multiple program tiers. Previewing as a partner from each tier helps you catch any issues before they affect partners directly.
