# How to impersonate partners?

You might want to impersonate a partner to see what their partner portal will look like when setting up Kiflo. Impersonating a partner is also beneficial, especially during your monthly or quarterly reviews with the partner.

## Impersonating a partner

To impersonate a partner, the partner should first have access to the partner portal. If they have, follow these steps:

* Go to the **Partners** page
* Go to a **Partner**
* Under the partner’s name, you will find the option to **Open partner portal**

A new window will open, allowing you to see the partner portal like the partner would if they were opening it.

It is important to note that you will impersonate the first team member found. This means the team member who will be impersonated is not guaranteed.

If no team member has access to Kiflo, then there is no one to impersonate, and clicking the button will show an error.

## Impersonating a team member

To impersonate a specific team member, they should first have access to the partner portal. If they have, follow these steps:

* Go to the **Partners** page
* Go to a **Partner**
* Click on the **Team** tab
* Click on the **Team member** you want to impersonate
* Click on **Open partner portal:**

A new window will open, allowing you to see the partner portal like the partner would if they were opening it.

Once you have viewed the partner portal, click the sign-out button in the orange top bar.

## Signing out from the partner portal

Once you have viewed the partner portal, it's important to **sign out**. You have two options:

1. Click the sign-out button in the orange top bar
2. Sign out from the top-right menu
