# Getting Started with Kiflo: Step-by-Step Setup Guide

> Follow these nine steps to configure your Kiflo account from scratch — from creating partner programs to connecting your CRM and going live.

Welcome to Kiflo! If you're new to the platform and want to get everything set up correctly before inviting your first real partners, you're in the right place. Work through the nine steps below in order and you'll have a fully configured Kiflo account ready for your partner program to go live.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Define Your Partner Programs">
    Partner programs are the foundation of everything in Kiflo — you must create at least one program before you can add any partners. Programs let you segment partners by type or region, and each program carries its own configuration.

    Defining a partner program allows you to:

    * **Segment partners** — for example, group all reseller partners into one program and all referral partners into another
    * **Define tiers** — set up levels within a program to reflect partner performance or status
    * **List benefits and requirements** — communicate clearly what partners get and what's expected of them
    * **Set up your commission structure** — create rewards that automatically calculate what partners earn
    * **Customize the partner portal** — control exactly which features are available to partners in that program

    See: [How to create a partner program?](/programs/create-program)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite Partners">
    Once your first program is configured, invite a test partner using your own email address. This gives you a sandbox experience where you can see exactly what your partners will see in the portal before any real partners are involved.

    After creating your test partner, navigate to the **Account** menu in the top-right corner of the Kiflo admin to switch between the admin view and the partner portal view. This makes it easy to test your setup and verify that everything looks correct.

    When you're satisfied with your setup, you can invite your actual partners through the same workflow.

    See:

    * [How to impersonate a partner?](/partners/invite-partners)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Define What Partners Can View and Action">
    Kiflo gives you granular control over what partners see and can do when they log into their portal. Configure these permissions at the program level so that every partner in a given program has a consistent, relevant experience.

    For example, you can choose whether partners in a particular program can submit leads, register deals, view assets, access the Help Center, or see their rewards — and hide anything that isn't relevant to how they work with you.

    See: [How to customize Partner Program settings?](/programs/create-program)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share Content with Your Partners">
    Kiflo offers four ways to share content and keep partners informed. Equipping partners with the right materials directly improves how effectively they represent your product and generate leads.

    **Assets** — Upload sales collateral, marketing materials, pricing sheets, and any other files your partners need. Assets can be organized and restricted by program or tier, so partners only see content that's relevant to them.

    **News** — Post updates directly to the partner portal. Use the news widget to share blog releases, product announcements, upcoming webinars, or anything else your partners need to stay current.

    **Help Center** — Create step-by-step guides, FAQs, and best-practice articles that partners can reference at any time. Organize articles into collections to make navigation easy.

    **Partner Dashboards** — Customize the dashboard your partners see when they log in. Choose from a library of predefined widgets to surface the data and shortcuts most useful to each program.

    * [Help Center](/enablement/help-center)

  </Step>

  <Step title="Customize Your Lead and Deal Forms">
    Before partners start submitting leads or registering deals, customize the forms they'll use. Adding the right fields ensures you capture all the information you need to qualify and approve incoming opportunities without having to chase partners for follow-up details.

    Customize your lead submission form to collect what you need to qualify a potential customer, and customize your deal registration form to gather the details required to prevent conflicts and approve registrations quickly.

    See:

    * [How to customize the Lead Submission form?](/leads/lead-forms)

  </Step>

  <Step title="Customize Your Partner Onboarding">
    Define the onboarding journey that new partners must complete before they're considered active. Kiflo's onboarding module lets you create a sequence of stages and required actions — such as signing an agreement, completing a training, or filling in a profile — so partners move through a structured process and you always know who is ready to go.

    A well-configured onboarding flow reduces time-to-productivity for new partners and ensures compliance with your program requirements.

    See: [Partner Onboarding](/partner-portal/partner-onboarding)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set Up Your Email Sending Domain and Customize Email Templates">
    Configure a custom email sending domain so that all automated emails from Kiflo — partner invitations, lead acknowledgements, deal notifications — arrive in partners' inboxes from your company's domain rather than Kiflo's. This protects your deliverability and keeps your branding consistent.

    Once your domain is set up, customize the email templates for each touchpoint in the partner lifecycle: welcoming new partners, acknowledging submitted leads, confirming registered deals, and more.

    You can also enable automatic acknowledgement emails so that every time a partner submits a lead or registers a deal, they receive an immediate confirmation.

    See:

    * [How to configure your email sending domain?](/account/email-settings)
    * [How to customize email templates?](/account/email-settings)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Customize Properties and Stages">
    Adapt Kiflo's data model to match your own processes, just as you would in a CRM. Add custom properties to leads, deals, partners, and other objects so you capture the fields that matter to your business.

    You can also customize deal pipeline stages to reflect your actual sales process — for example, renaming stages or adding intermediate steps that align with how your internal team reviews and closes partner-sourced opportunities.

    See:

    * [How to customize deal pipeline stages?](/deals/deal-pipeline)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set Up Integrations">
    Integrations are what make Kiflo a seamless part of your revenue stack rather than a siloed tool. Connect Kiflo to your CRM first — this ensures that leads and deals submitted by partners are automatically visible to your internal sales team without any manual export or data entry.

    Kiflo has native integrations with **HubSpot** and **Salesforce**. If you use a different CRM, you can connect it via the Kiflo REST API or Zapier.

    Beyond your CRM, you can also connect:

    * **Payment platforms** (such as Stripe) to sync transaction data and automate reward calculations
    * **Your website** using the Kiflo JS SDK for tracking
    * **Chat apps and other tools** via Zapier

    See:

  </Step>
